VOX Girls Group

For 14 years, VOX girls have come together and organically created a safe and creative space for young women to express themselves and write about topics important to young women in the metro Atlanta area. They have covered issues ranging from sexual and dating violence, to self-esteem, to the commercial sexual exploitation of children. This year, VOX Girls Group decided to cover how MEDIA shapes and affects the lives of teenage girls. The girls, together, brainstormed all of the different issues affecting teen girls (pictured right) and agreed that media had the most significant and constant influence on them.

Members of Girls Group will develop their leadership skills by planning and conducting monthly workshops focusing on specific aspects of media's role in teenage girls' lives. The specific monthly workshops are listed below. VOX welcomes visitors to our girls group from other girl-focused organizations and groups around metro-Atlanta. Please contact Katie if you would like to learn more about how to support the group or participate in our activities.
